Why I am a Board Member

I am passionate about Sport touching peoples lives; Sports volunteering has to be one of the most life changing choices people make as either a volunteer or through the services received from volunteering – inspirational coaches and volunteers make the experience that is Sport.

 

  I do believe, through my own experience of volunteering in cricket that we need to have the best support for people at the grass roots of the game.

 

I want to support SVNW address the key challenges of attracting and supporting more volunteers, to higher quality in our Clubs and Governing Bodies.

 

I feel through being part of the SVNW Board, I will assist the organisation in remaining firmly rooted in Community Sport, maintaining a clear perspective on the aspirations and direction of Community Sport Partnerships and Local Authority SPAAs.

 

I would like to see SVNW become Nationally recognised as the best practice model for leading improvements in quality Community Sports volunteering.
