Andrew Lisgo
Andrew is currently studying PR and Media at Sunderland University. He started volunteering after attending the Cumbria Step into Sport Conference - part of the SVNW Young People's programme.
He was quite a timid young man but now he is bursting with confidence and enthusiasm and he is the first to say this change is a direct result of becoming a volunteer.
He has had a full experience of the programme, he attended the Step into Sport Loughborough conference and was invited back as an opening speaker the following year. He was awarded an Outstanding Achievement Award from Sports Volunteering North West in 2005, it was presented by Peter Beardsley at a day out at Newcastle United which was part of his prize.
