Qualifications and Experience
Professional Qualifications - Secretarial, Management and Education. Taught 30 years Primary and Secondary school age children.
In 1965 I undertook my first Committee membership - the Executive Committee of the Oldham and District branch of the Lancashire Playing Fields Association. I helped to promote their interests of saving open space and fighting for improved play facilities for over 30 years.
During this membership I helped in many fund-raising activities, organised athletic coaching weekends and bowling tournaments for youth. Seved as Chairman and latterly as Secretary.
I represented the Playing Fields on the Executive Committee of the Oldham Sports Council serving as Vice Chair and Chair and now it's successor, Sport and Recreation Oldham. Represented the oldham Sports Council and attended Group B and Group C meetings of the North west Federation for Sport, Recreation and Conservation for 15 years.
