Qualifications and Experience

I am originally from Rastrick, West Yorkshire.  I attended Rastick High School where I achieved 9 GCSEs, I went on to Huddersfield New College where I gained 3 'A' Levels.

I read for a BA (Hons) Historical Studies at Worcester College where I was also on the Mixed Hockey team, the Rag Committee and Hall Chairperson.

After University I won a place on the Edinburgh Woollen Mill's Graduate Training Scheme.  I spent three years with the company living in 9 different places across the length and breadth of the country. 

I then spent a couple of years working for the Border Fine Arts Society - a collectors club before joining the Cumbria Sport Partnership at the start of 2002.
