Alex Bielecki

Alex has worked at Sport England for just over 5 years. His current role is as Performance Analyst and, in particular, the analysis and dissemination of the results of the Active People Survey across the North West region.

He has worked in Leisure for over 20 years. He worked at Wyre Forest Glades Leisure Centre, Kidderminster as Centre Manager prior to becoming involved in writing the Council’s Compulsory Competitive Tendering specification for sport and leisure and then monitoring and evaluating the contract performance.

He then moved to Oldham MBC to work as Leisure Services Officer and became involved in facility development, Lottery funding applications and strategic planning. After 7 years at Oldham, he moved to work for Knight, Kavanagh & Page (KKP) as a Leisure Management Consultant.

Prior to changing career and moving into the sport and leisure field, Alex taught Economics, Commerce and Business Skills in a secondary school for 5 years in the West Midlands.

Aged 49, Alex is married with two young children. He is originally from the West Midlands and is a life-long Wolverhampton Wanderers fan.
