Clare MacLeod
Clare MacLeod is the National Clubmark Manager, responsible for the operational management of Clubmark on behalf of Sport England. Clare took up this post in April 2006 when the management consultancy practice she is employed by was awarded the contract to manage the accreditation scheme until 2009.
Since April Clare has worked with National Governing Bodies of Sport and County Sports Partnerships to improve the processes of achieving and maintaining accreditation to ensure that Clubmark remains the single national quality standard for sports clubs with junior sections.
Junior sport is an area close to Clare’s heart and she is no stranger to community clubs. While captain and coach of Thetford Hockey Club she developed their junior section and then went on to coach a number of other Hockey clubs including Dereham and Cambridge University Ladies. She is still involved with the sport but these days her role is refined to driving her son to and from matches for Bolton Hockey Club, a club that has achieved Clubmark accreditation.
