Mumtaz Bashir
Head of the Pre Volunteer Programme for 2012 –Olympic Games and Paralympic Games
Mumtaz is currently seconded from the Learning & Skills Council to the London Development Agency as Head of the Pre Volunteer Programme for the London Olympics. Mumtaz has been invited by LDA to support the development of a similar programme that she created for The XVII Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002.
The programme was delivered within 23 Regeneration Areas across the NW Region. This project gained International Recognition from the United Nations on the work of Social Inclusion and has subsequently become a blue print of best practice for other International Events, before completing the four year secondment Mumtaz developed the Post Games Volunteer Programme - ensuring a social legacy for the region.
