Dave Robinson - Coaching
Currently the director of a community interest company called Cross Rocks, Dave’s role is central to the support and development of individuals and organisations involved in sport. One of Dave’s main roles at present is to develop Coaching North West, a scheme with the remit to help provide more opportunities and better support for paid and unpaid coaches.
Also the co-owner of a cultural exchange business called
Prior to establishing Cross Rocks, Dave was the director of Merseyside Sport and prior to that worked for 7 years at the National Coaching Foundation and was a college lecturer.
A very busy person indeed.
In addition to Dave’s main work, he also currently advises on a number of sports strategy groups both nationally and regionally and as you may have guessed, has a very keen interest in coaching. Having coached water polo and swimming as a volunteer for over 20 years, Dave’s experience is well suited to deliver on how you can step into coaching in the
Session: Stepping into Coaching in the
This session will be an interactive workshop during which delegates will take a look at what it takes to be a sports coach, what opportunities are out there at the moment for paid and unpaid coaches and what the future looks like.
The workshop will introduce delegates to the Coaching North West System which is being developed to help anyone who is already coaching or who is interested in starting out as a coach.
There will also be an opportunity for delegates to ask any coach related questions.
