Community Sports Coach
Wigan Sports Development Unit is seeking 2 Community Sports Coaches to join its successful and progressive Team. The roles will make an important contribution to the Trusts vision ‘Getting Wigan Active’ thereby increasing participation across the Borough.
The successful candidates will:
- Work within schools delivering multi-skill sessions and establishing multi-skill clubs.
- Work in partnership with external organisations to deliver diversionary activities for young people in identified communities to create sustainable sports programmes.
- Plan, deliver and monitor coaching activities across the Borough.
Qualified in at least one sport to Level 2 standard, the ideal candidate will also have at least one other National Governing Body qualification. We are looking for individuals who can illustrate experience working with young people in community, club and school settings. Experience of working with challenging young people would be beneficial. You will have the ability to deliver leadership opportunities.
