GMYN are seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic "vinvolved Youth Volunteering Adviser" to develop, promote and support youth volunteering opportunities in Oldham through the new National Youth Volunteering Programme funded by v. The post is a fixed term post funded until Apr! il 2011
Full Time (35 hrs) Youth Volunteering Adviser (YVA) Oldham
£22,122 - £23,749
Youth Volunteer Advisers will support the development of youth volunteering by enhancing the existing volunteering infrastructure and co-ordinating the provision of high quality advice and guidance for young people. Youth Volunteer Advisers will identify and broker new opportunities to meet young people's needs and support young people into these opportunities. Youth Volunteer Advisers will also champion youth-led volunteering through the creation of Youth Action Teams. Youth Action Team members will support the Youth Volunteer Adviser network, providing positive peer influence and inspiring young people to participate in a range of volunteering activities.
The successful applicant will join the existing GMYN vinvolved teams that have been recruited for Bury and
Voluntary Youth Services (OCVYS)
