What’s New at Sports Volunteering NW?

Welcome to the second issue of our e-zine. We would also like to take this opportunity, on International Day of the Volunteer, to say thank-you to all the volunteers working in sport in the North West and all those who support them. It just wouldn’t happen without you guys!

Since last you heard from us there have been some new and exciting developments at SVNW Ltd. By the time you read this the all new updated and reinvigorated website will be on the verge of launching.

The aim is for it to become an essential resource to everyone who is involved in Sports Volunteering in the North West. There is a variety of information on it, the latest news from SVNW, resources for Volunteers, potential volunteers, clubs, Volunteer Centres, information about projects running in the North West, potential training and development opportunities and even a chance to find out a bit more about the SVNW Board.

A DVD is being produced as part of a Goldstar project demonstrating good practice being done on the Young Person’s programme. Filming has taken place across the region, in all counties covering a range of events and interviewees who are representative of the work being done. As soon as we have a complete version we will uploading to the website for you to have a look.
