Coaches and Clubs

Coaches and Clubs play an important part in the Volunteer's experience. 

Often they are based at a Sports Club.In England Clubs are run by volunteers, from groundsmen to social secretaries, from treasurers to coaches.

Many Clubs wishing to support new younger volunteers need support from their National Governing Body reps, to find out yours see the NGB Contacts page. Clubmark is a sign of a quality accreditated club . This involves developing and reaching a minimum standard for ;

  • The playing programme
  • Duty of Care and Child protection
  • Sports equity and ethics
  • Club management.

Coaches are often Volunteers themselves as well as Mentors to new volunteers.
