Investing in Volunteers

What is Investing in Volunteers?

Investing in Volunteers (IiV) is the national quality standard recognising good practice in organisations’ volunteer management.

The standard is applicable to any volunteer involving organisation with any number of volunteers across the third and public sector. The standard is based on the four main areas of volunteer management:

• Planning for volunteer involvement

• Recruiting volunteers

• Selecting and matching volunteers

• Supporting and retaining volunteers.

These areas have been divided into 10 indicators, each supported by a range of practices that your organisation needs to be carrying out in order to achieve the Investing in Volunteers award.

Volunteering England have compiled documents to support organisations considering Investors in Volunteers.  You can read about the Impact Benefits of IIV by clicking here, and top tips from the IIV website by clicking here.To find out more you can download the brochure by clicking here, alternatively you can visit the website here.
