Approached Halton Farnworth Hornets ARLFC, an outstanding Clubmark club from
HFH run around 10 teams from U7s through to Open Age
The Solution
· Currently, there are approximately 72 individual volunteers giving their time 'free of charge' to the HFH Club.
· This figure does not include those volunteers who help out on match days, etc, on an 'as and when' basis. These volunteers do not have a 'title or role' associated against them and so are unclassified - BUT they do exist!
· The Excel Spread Sheet breaks down the monetary value of each teams volunteers, with the grand total for the whole of the HFH Club then arrived at.
· The Word Spread Sheet is the HFH Clubs official 'Communications Contact Listing'. This names every single volunteer at the club and their role.
The Results
· Total Invisible Monetary Value of HFH volunteers for the 2008/09 Season calculated at being a staggering £400,425. This is just one club and with so many great clubs in rugby league what would the overall figure be?
It Worked Because
· Club committee are extremely proactive in the local community and in the Rugby League fraternity. Club recently worked closely with Student Rugby League hosting College Finals at their home ground and providing volunteers to other SRL events.
· Club worked in conjunction with Jane Rhodes from Halton Council Sports Development Unit in constructing the data after a request from the RFL
