Matthew Hooper
Matthew has helped in the contribution of the continual sustainable development of the Junior Rockets Athletics Club in Oldham - as the club would breakdown without volunteers. The club has just over 50 members who attend and train regularly. He has come through the Duke of Edinburgh awards - he has since continued to volunteer at the Oldham Rockets Athletics Club.
He has undergone training - Community Sports Leaders Awards and a Level 1 in Athletics - to help him develop his confidence and enhance his coaching abilities. He has some of the following qualities: reliable, responsible, mature, and always displays a high level of professionalism. Over time he has developed his communication skills and like wise this has also helped him develop his confidence.
He has helped out in 3 separate events from athletics to our own Oldham Borough Games targeting children from our own Open For Action programme.
He has taken the responsibility to gain further knowledge via CSLA and Athletics level 1 in order to help get the best out of young participants and athletes.
